Happy New Year to everyone. A big thank you to Charlie and the rest of the crew for this great website. As one who has always wanted to be a Yooper, this is as close as I'll get to living in the UP.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 01:21 pm:

Happy New Year, pastycammers!!!

I love the skilift in the Porkies picture by Dan!!

We do have snow to start the New Year. Looks like we got about 2". No plans for today. Maybe make a tie blanket and watch football! Go Lions!!!

Have a healthy and happy New Year, everybody!

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 01:27 pm:

WILSON; We got about 6 inches of snow so far and more on the way tonight. The wind is blowing the snow everywhere, too. We spent the morning in Hancock and Houghton and the wind was kicking up. It was pretty to see the trees covered with snow amd the wind blowing it everywhere.

Now we are home watching the Lions-Green Bay game.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.....

By kay Moore (Mskatie) on Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 02:46 pm:

mickill...lucky you to see the Packers game! We are stuck watching those pesky Chicago players. Try to squeak in the radio station from Milwaukee to hear what's happening. The only thing worse than this game is the godawful political garbage on tv. That's what happens when we're next to Iowa! Ick! GO PACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Windier that heck outside too. Whoo eeeee! Happy 2012 to all my pasty friends and my reject pals.

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 02:46 pm:

Happy New Year to my fellow Pasty Cammers! We missed the
"blizzard" in the UP, but there was enough snow in the Ishpeming
and Copper Country areas for all of us to have a White Christmas
experience. Now it's back to being "koskintoronto" until March
Break...

I HAD A GREAT TIME IN COPPER COUNTRY LAST SUMMER AND I WILL BE BACK.I WAS COMPLEATING MY E BOOK AND DVDS ON LAKE SUPERIOR ABOVE AND BELOW GROUND.THERE IS A LOT OF LOCAL INTREST IN EXPLORING SUPERIOR AND MINES.GOOGLE WWW.LAKESUPERIORABOVEANDBELOW.CA ON YOU TUBE AT TKMINES1

By Theresa R. Brunk (Trb0013) on Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 05:04 pm:

How about those Packers, eh!

By Eugene Zuverink (Zube) on Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 05:13 pm:

Pretty sad when you get 41 points and you can't win a football game. Poor Lions.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 05:57 pm:

They kept up with the Packers. That made me happy!! They showed that they CAN stay with them. They had two good performances against the Packers this year. That's the first time in, heck, I can't even remember how long!

THE LIONS WILL GET SMOKED AGAINST THE SAINTS, GO SAINTS AND PATRIOTS! THE 49ERS WOULD BE OK TOO, SINCE JIMMY H. IS A MICHIGAN MAN!

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Sunday, January 1, 2012 - 10:59 pm:

UC, I really like the Saints and Patriots, too. The Pats have a MI QB and the Saints have a Big 10 QB. And yep on the 49ers, also. But I'm a Lions fan first and will have to cheer for them. But a Saints/Pats Super Bowl would be awesome!!
