Something gave me the idea to see what Taka Aoki is up to now. Tried cutonion.com and that site of his seems to be no longer in existence. There is another cutonion.com that is agricultural-related! So I did a Google search and found a Taka Aoki as publisher of something in Canada. Will the real Taka Aoki stand up! Anyone heard from him lately? Is he in Canada? For new pastycammers, Taka was a gifted photographer who went to Michigan Tech. You could always tell a Taka photo when it came up on pasty cam in the morning. He does still have a gallery page.

Hi Marsha, I also had noted that Taka's site was no longer up and have been wondering about him but forgetting to ask. I do know that not long ago he took another job in Japan, so I doubt that it is Taka in Canada unless his company sent him there or he transferred to another company.

He is a wonderful photographer and a real sweetheart. Maybe if Ryan is still checking in here he can tell us.

Yesterday someone asked what is the circular white area on the side of the mountain in my webcam pictures. The horizontal part is the Copper Harbor overlook and probably part of the road leading to it. The vertical part is just a steep part of the hillside with no trees. You can also just make out the road up to the top of the hill, now that the trees are bare and the snow is down.

Hope that helps.

Yeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaw, enjoying the snow storm. Already, we have seven inches of fresh snowfall from today...and the snow is still falling. Hubby just called, and he made it safe and sound to New Jersey with his load...just ahead of the snow storm that was following him from Indiana..and just ahead of the snow storm that is coming out of the east/NY. Me thinks he will stay hunkered down tomorrow, with that snow coming at him from both directions, eh.
Hope everyone who is traveling in the snowbelt, has safe and happy trails. :)
