By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Monday, October 31, 2005 - 07:51 am:

I, like RD, also honor Rosa Parks. She was an "ordinary" person who with great courage caused extraordinary results. As time moves on, it is too easy to take our current freedoms for granted, and this peace-loving woman who stood up (or rather sat down!) for the rights of all people should never be forgotten.

By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Monday, October 31, 2005 - 07:59 am:

Wonderful picture today, Roger, very perfect for Oct. 31.

It means a great deal to us because this is the day we finalized the sale of our parents' home. Another Keweenaw connection weakened, but our Keweenaw connections can never be broken!

The lovely light in the picture reflects our joy that the home passed to our relative, a pasty poster, Chuck from Clarkston!

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Monday, October 31, 2005 - 08:00 am:

Maija,

Amen to that!
