By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 08:34 am:

Good morning everyone. It's 39 degrees out right now...hmmmm...just a thought...but if it had gotten 7 degrees cooler last night...and if there had been any precipitation...it would have been snow. Wow!

Hi Yooper!

By dlp (Babyseal) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 10:54 am:

Wow, I got the early bird, what a surprise. Especially for someone who really isn't an early bird.
The second Yooper animation, TGIF, is certainly me today, thanks for sharing. Six more hours until I officially start my weekend. I think I can make it, I think I can, I think I can..........

Did not want to post this on cam notes but we are all sad today.. Our grandkids lost their dog last night. A hit and run. She was a Cocker Spaniel named Madison 6 years old. We all loved her.. Sorry I just had to tell someone...

By Danbury (Danbury) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 01:45 pm:

Er ... TGIF?!?

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 01:48 pm:

Danbury,

TGIF,usually means, Thank God It's Friday. But around here on Pasty Cam, I think it means, Thank God I'm Finnish. ;-)

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 01:50 pm:

Theresa,
Sorry to hear about your grandkids' dog. I imagine that is quite a shock to everyone. I dunno about anyone else, but in our family, our dogs are our kids....and I dread the day, they will no longer be with us.

By Theresa, Colorado. (Theresa) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 03:03 pm:

thank you for the notes Mary and Sur5er. Our pets are family too..

By lz (Llamamama) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 03:22 pm:

Theresa: Pets are indeed family. Soon all will be able to look back on the joy she brought them. Bless you all.

By Danbury (Danbury) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 07:15 pm:

They're beloved, they're part of our lives, as we let them, and they're mourned as we feel the loss. Where's the difference, walking on two or four limbs aside?

Thnx, R. :)
Now that you mention it, it feels like a search would turn up the same question by the same guy. Guess that just means thif!

By Grace M Wetton (Gmw) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 09:43 pm:

Pets are part of our lives and should be remembered when they die. Our 11 yr Pomerainen recently died who we had less than 3 yrs. Cindy was a SPECIAL dog to us. We miss her dearly. Our other 2 dogs know that something isn't right.

By NKR (Nkr) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 10:11 pm:

Hello from Mishawaka IN. It was a little chilly this morning and I loved it. I have not had to many pets in my life and thought people who treated their pets like kids were kind of goofy but my daughter and son-in-law have two dogs. One is a pugel(?) and 1 yr old and the other is a basset hound 6 wks old and they are my grandpuppies and I love them. I even puppy sit. I also have a beautiful granddaughter and 3 good looking grandsons. I am proud of all of them.

A second hi from Mishawaka, In. What a beautiful fall evening it was to watch a high school football. Our Cavemen lost to arch-rival Penn 41-35 in overtime. But what a great game. Have an enjoyable weekend.

By Russell E. Emmons (Russemmons) on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 11:42 pm:

I so much agree with all that is said here about pets!
Our 4 dogs are our "kids" now too! They go with us most everywhere!
There is something that disturbs me to think about: Two of our dogs are 11 years old. Most likely we will be left without them. Since we are getting up in years now, the other 2 "pups" most likely will be left without us. Which is worse?
They say dogs love us more then we they---but I really wonder about that!

By Cindy Lee Maki (Cindylee) on Saturday, October 1, 2005 - 12:15 am:

Theresa, I'm so sorry about the dog. We too had abeautiful, huge dog named Jackson who died a few months back. He was part of our family. Can't prove it but we think someone feed him poison. Broke our hearts and especialy our son Jake. He was only 1 and a half years old. Healthy one day and dead the next. I hope who ever poisoned him realizes that they broke my son's heart. But i Know that it is bad KARMA!!!!!!! My other dog Rudy is so lost without his friend. Pets are so special and respectable. NO wonder there called mans best friend.

By Beverly, San Jose (Beverly) on Saturday, October 1, 2005 - 12:49 am:

I have a friend that brings me joy twenty four hours a day. Mitter Mitter Kiddy Kat. He follows me every where. He is playful and funny, sometimes a cry baby, sometimes a pest, he knows when I am hurting or sad, he sits on my desk when I am working and waits in the window for me when I am gone. He is my friend and it would break my heart if I lost him.

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Saturday, October 1, 2005 - 08:06 pm:

Theresa,

I have been fortunate to spend large chunks of
my life with three very special dogs who have
made me feel good when times were bad and
even happier when times were good. Our
dogs were or are Pepe, a poodle, Kumquat, a
wire haired terrier and Rusty our current, very
well loved mutt from the Toronto Humane
Society. I'm so sorry to hear about your
family's loss.
