FRNash, you are just too funny :-)

Up bright and early today...and for that matter, I have been up bright and early every day this week, since returning from Michigan. Seems the doggie sitter got the doggies up at 6am each morning, four days in a row...and now da Abbi is on a 6am schedule.

With the start of the Football season, I was just wondering... Are yoopers more inclined to be packer fans or lion fans?? GO BEARS!!!

By Steve Haagen (Stevewi) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 08:16 am:

By Grace M Wetton (Gmw) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 08:47 am:

Another hot one today. Had to turn a/c on yesterday, 88 at our house, can you believe that for Sept 10??? Have a great day!!!

By Cindy Lee Maki (Cindylee) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 09:00 am:

Hi Grace,Sur5er, and everyone. Margaret,I agree with you. But I still love them Packers. Another warm day again today--yea--. I'm cooling my house right now so I don't sweat so bad with my neck brace on. Can't believe how good I feel. Watering my garden again by myself. Still alot I can't do but my sweethearts are helping alot. 2 months and 3 weeks and my brace comes off. Dr. Songer from Marquette sure knows his bones.

By lz (Llamamama) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 09:10 am:

For those of us raised along the Wis/MI border - no hesitation - the PACK!!!
It is tough with home town boy Mariucci at the helm of the Lions though.

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 09:13 am:

Cindylee,
Glad to hear that you are feeling better and in great spirits. Isn't it the greatest feeling, when you can start to do things that you haven't done in a long time? I was really sick a couple o years ago and lost all my strength...and I was so proud of myself when I was able to finally do some of the simpliest of things and regained my strength.

Finishing up some paperwork, and then I am headed outside to enjoy the day...taking advantage of being able to enjoy the great weather, for as long as it lasts.

By NKR (Nkr) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 09:16 am:

Good morning from Mishawaka IN. Going to be a hot one today. 90° and its suppose to be 90 tomorrow. Have a good day everyone and by the way GOOOOOOO IRISH!

By Charlotte, Mishawaka, IN (Charlotte61) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 10:46 am:

NKR, I agree GOOOOOOOO IRISH and of course, GOOOOOOOO CAVEMEN!!

I really hate to see the 90 degree temps coming back. At least at school we have air for the library for the first time ever. Of course we don't have a library yet since the renovation isn't finished yet.

Have a great day everyone.

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 11:25 am:

NKR and Charlotte, Come on over...pool water is nice and cool and the daiquiris are a chillin. Would love to get out to the beach today, but the tourist take over the lake on the weekends, with temps like this.

One more hour of paperwork, and it is time to head outside and play!

By Ms. Katie (Mskatie) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 12:16 pm:

I'm in a "mixed marriage" Of course being from Milwaukee it's the Packers. But hubby plus one unnamed son are for the others. It's been like this for 48 years...Democrat/Republican,country music/anything but rap, mild/spicy food, sleep with sheet only/ pile the blankets on. Holey moley... nowonder we're always bickering! :o

By Frederic W. Koski (Fred) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 12:46 pm:

Today's game temperature will probably be around the 90's, of course played indoors and air conditioned. (Go Lion's)
The next time they play each other at Lambeau Field next December the temperature will probably be near zero degrees. I saw one game there in December 1990 and froze my butt off, just came back from 4 years in Hawaii. I think it was the last time the Lions won a game there.

By joanne sherick (Shedoesnails) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 12:50 pm:

cindy maki. I am related to the maki clan. my cousin Barb is married to jim maki.I believe he was raised in calumet.any connection?

By cheryl rozman (Cherylmi) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 03:55 pm:

My Mom was a Chicago Bears fans. We'd be teasing her when the games started & every time she'd kicked us out of her house so she could watch her Bears alone. Our daughter named one of her sons "Payton" after Walter Payton to please her Grandma. Now guess what?!! Hubby & I are Bears fans. One son is for the Packers, one for Vikings, grandson for Cowboys, one daughter for Pittsburg, other for Broncos. So you want to talk about bickering, teasing, betting, etc. It happens in our house. I know that Mom is still watching her Bears up above & in peace & quiet. haha

By Theresa, Colorado. (Theresa) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 04:00 pm:

ms.Katie your note just made me smile... I also am in a mixed marriage.. Being from the U.P. amd a green bay Packer fan.. My Hubby became a Bronco Fan after moving to Colorado 20 yrs ago.. I just can't turn my back on those Packers. I also do root for the Colts, tho. As my friend married a "toot" also and his cousin plays for the Colts.. just too much pressure here.... lol

By Fran in GA (Francesinga) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 04:51 pm:

My grandson and I are Packer fans! I got him hooked when I took care of him when he was young! Don't like the Vikings or the Cowboys!

It was good seeing the South American again. It sure caused a lot of excitement when it came in.

My son and I have been sick all week with the crud!:( I have sinusitis and Bronchitis and he has the same except they caught his early enough. Today is the first day I feel like I might live!

By Ms. Katie (Mskatie) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 06:56 pm:

At this very moment those goofy Packers are letting Detroit lead( 10 min. remaining) Come on you cheeseheads get your act together!

By Margo (Margo) on Sunday, September 11, 2005 - 07:07 pm:

By Cindy Lee Maki (Cindylee) on Monday, September 12, 2005 - 05:09 am:

Joanne, hubby doesn't know Jim. But there are so many Maki's it's unreal.... Just look in the phone book- must have been a easy name to spell years ago. But I'm sure somewhere down the line were all related!!! ha ha.
