Good Morning All,
Love the Frog!
We are coming up to Copper Harbor camping this next week. Has been about 5 years so we are REALLY looking forward to the trip. Is there a public library anywhere north of Houghton that has computer access for checkng email etc?
Thanks in advance for any info.

You will find free, high speed Internet access on a public terminal right in Copper Harbor at the Welcome Center (Community Building), courtesy of Pasty.NET, Grant Township, and the Copper Harbor Improvement Association. It's right next to the Pines Resort, which also has free in-room Pasty.NET wireless access for their guests. By the way, if you will be camping at the Fanny Hooe Resort in August, you may be able to surf on your wireless enabled laptop right in your tent, courtesy of Pasty.NET, as the resort is making plans to install the service as we speak.

Yooper, I love the frog...he gave me my first chuckle of the day. Do a little a little dance...get down tonight! Now I am going to be humming that song all day today.
Oh my gosh, it is finally below 90's degrees today. It's 60 degrees on the southern shores of Lake Michigan. Lovin it :)
Jmac, Email on vacation? Tsk, tsk, tsk. That is one thing I refuse to do on vacation, is get behind a computer. ;)

Not a whole lot more north of Houghton, but still...we found that the public library of the high school in Lake Linden had access. The hours they are open are limited but are also posted on a sign outside so you know when to go. It was HOT in there, though, so we didn't stay long! Still, nice to know it was available. I think the Calumet high school library has access, too, but we didn't try so you'll have to inquire about that.

We must have posted our answers at the same time, regarding the public terminal access in the Keweenaw Peninsula. See the blue note above for details about broadband Internet now available in Copper Harbor.

Testing, testing. Will this get through? If it does, I have to say
how even more impressed I am with Mary Drew. I see she put
up today's pic a little before 7 a.m. Believe me, this lady puts in
long hours. It was going on toward 10 last night when she sent
an e-mail to me saying she thot she had my username/
password problems worked out. Well, let's see. Here goes!

By Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 - 10:44 am:

Charles in Adrian,
Thanks for the accolades, but I cannot take all that credit alone. I prepare the pictures and accompanying notes each day and get them to Charlie. He in turn, is the guy who's up early posting the pictures and notes to the web page.

Glad to see the username and password are working fine now! :->

Opps! Bless you Ms Mary for your help. I don't think I'll ever figure out this modern gizmo! I felt like I was looking in a window but no one could hear me. Now the window is open, so watch out. I'd go crazy if I didn't have this pasty connection. Have a cool day.

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 - 11:01 am:

Welcome back Miss Katie. Wondered where you were...and all this time, you were lost in cyberspace. ;)

Everytime I go to Sharon's webcam, I wonder what became of Baby Bear who visited her deck rail regularly last year. Nice & cool in the Flint area today!

There is a fire up by Normands farm in Lake Linden. Lots of trucks and D&R equipment went up the road. Hope they can put it out quickly as everything is so dry.
