Charlie - Looking at Historic Facelift I see Dr. G saved your life! Almost 50 years ago he was a Med School Extern at St Lukes in Mqt. and my father caught him kissing a very pretty student nurse in the OR! They were married soon after and the rest is history .

A long trilling noise (up to 30 seconds) could be an Eastern toad. The Friends of the Rouge (river) down Detroit way have frog and toad sounds on their website www.therouge.org. My wife and I are participating in there annual frog and toad census and learned to identify several species by their voices. Last weekend (5/21) we identified spring peepers and eastern toads in full voice just north of the bridge.
