Everything is blooming here and we've got snow this morning. The Mesquite trees are not blooming yet--should have known.

That blast from the past picture, I've gotten to where I can spot a Dan Urbanski shot a mile away. We sure miss you Dan.

Ok, I finally come around to ask: How could I get a calendar? Because none of the alternatives you offer to pay work for me, and I'm not exactly in the US either - far away from it.

Hi again. Charlie, I meant to thank you on this site but posted it on Cam Notes by accident. At any rate, thanks for the beach update!!

I'd like to add a hearty "welcome home" to Sgt. Nate too. As someone who does not have a close friend or family member "over there," your pictures have really helped me feel connected to what you and the rest of our men and women in the Middle East are facing. Thank you for all you do!

Snowing in Hancock? Uhm... NO WAY!!!!!! :)

I got an E-Mail from Sgt. Nate a while back. I wrote to him and he responded, and I felt so honored that he took the time to write ME... someone he didn't even know! WELCOME HOME!

Yes way Alex! At times it snows pretty hard, then the good ol' sun tries to break through but doesn't quite make it. Thank goodness the white gold isn't sticking on the ground ;) We want the green stuff on the ground!!!

Good Grief! What a werid weather year. We got a whole 120 seconds of snow this year. We enjoyed both minutes of it! (ROFL).

Hi all,
I can attest to there being snow, rain, hail & slush all at the same time today in the UP. I left Houghton at 6:30am to head home from a weekend of joy & tears. Both for the same reason. My son graduated from Tech Saturday. I am so proud..

Anyway from Houghton to St Ignance I had little opportunity to view the water as it was either snowing, hailing or raining so hard that it looked foggy. Thought I was out of it went I arrived in trol land but that wasn't the case.. All the way to Birch Run it was the same weather..

Only break was when I finally hopped off I-75 in Saginaw and took 13 the rest of the way home.

And NOW it is hailing & raining in mid-Michigan.

Thank you one and all for opening the world of the UP to me during my son's time at Tech. I love this sight!

From the look of the Pasty Cam's, look's like a nice evening in the CC, wish I was there.

Hello Ellen from Hale. My grandparents built a cabin just before M-65 and Monument Road Y off before the Five Channels Dam. The cabin is still there, it is now someone's home.
That was back when Morton's owned the little store and rented the little cabins. Francis and his wife and their son Bill ran it back then. I don't know who or if anyone owns it now. Right by one of the old township halls. It has been years since they passed away. I have since moved up the the U.P. But I have alot of memories.
