By gw-houghton on Sunday, April 24, 2005 - 08:38 am:

32 degress, cloudy here, thank goodness no snow on the ground. I wouldn't want to drive around downstate in all that traffic with winter conditions. Yikes!

By Margaret, Amarillo TX on Sunday, April 24, 2005 - 09:08 am:

Hey, the bridge cam doesn't look too bad. Hope all with snow has only a slight development. We are sunny and clear, right now. Will get rain and wind by the end of the day.

By NKR Mishawaka IN on Sunday, April 24, 2005 - 09:09 am:

Good morning from cold and snowy (yuck) Mishawaka IN. We have about a 1/2 inch on the ground and there is some flakes floating around in the air. The poor leaves on the trees look all cold and crinkly. 31° windchill is 25°. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning. Another windy, wet, and bleak day on the shores of Lake Michigan. In the low 30's this morning. Sigh. Perfect excuse not to take the weekend off and to continue working on all this paperwork, eh. All I can say, is that next weekend, there better be some sunshine.

NKR, hubby appreciates your weather info, as his first load of the week, on Monday evenings, is in your neck of the woods ;)

You can say that again, Fran...

Does anyone know of an Arnold Jarvey? He may be dead, but was my dad's best friend growing up, which leads me to believe he may have been from Gay. Last I knew, he lived in Ohio.

By Dennis Mannisto, in Ann Arbor. on Sunday, April 24, 2005 - 05:21 pm:

Today's Cam reminded me that my 85 yr old dad (from Phoenix) awoke one night in childhood to the dam on the Eagle river bursting and flooding everything downstream.
Slightly related, for anybody interested: Found the original (Oct. 1855) Plat of Eagle River online (and most any other plat in the state except Calumet.) Click "next page" at this MI govt search engine link:
http://www.cis.state.mi.us/platmaps/dt_image.asp?BCC_SUBINDEX=11819
If the link fails, search for "plat search" on the state's home page, michigan.gov. 2nd FYI, everthing East of "Maple St" on that plat was deleted on 6/22/1860 "as if never platted."
