What could be more fun than running through a sprinkler on a hot, summer day in the Keweenaw? Well, perhaps heading to the beach for a peek at the Big Lake. No matter which route you take, you're sure to make some fun memories and enjoy plenty of smiles and laughs. Brita Haapala has always been able to capture the fun of being a kid in the Copper Country, along with the beauty of living here. Today's photos reinforce that thought and bring back memories of doing some of the same things when you were a youngster. But remember...you don't have to be a kid to run through the sprinkler, it's fun to do as an adult, too. Now the "peeking" at Lake Superior? That might not be as easy to accomplish as an adult, like it was when you were a flexible little tyke. ;->

I suppose that would be a whole new perspective on viewing the Big Lake, now wouldn't it???

The second photo looks like me when I have fallen and I can't get up :)

For anyone who may have known him, my Dad, George Kentala, passed away on Friday. Dad was born in Allouez and lived in the Keweenaw until 1966. He was 80 years old.

Kenty so sorry you have lost your dad. Hope he had a peaceful passing. No matter how old you or your father was it's a loss the goes back to your days as a little boy. God bless.

Looks like those kids are well on their way to perfecting the Yoga Downward Dog pose! Nice job!

That second photo is the cutest picture!! Wonder if the pink-clad tyke was able to straighten up from that pose without going down on knees. CUTE! ;-)
Deepest condolences, Kenty, may the Lord comfort your family! So sad.

Brita, like so many here, is an amazing photographer!

(I'd fall on my face trying to do what her little beauties are doing.)
