Depending on how you look at it, Rod Burdick has either been real busy snapping freighter photos or maybe not so busy, relaxing while he snaps these photos. I prefer to think it's the latter, since that brings to mind a peaceful scene of Rod, sitting on a park bench at the Upper Harbor, enjoying the Kaye E. Barker as she arrives at the dock, after having sailed alongside that double rainbow. Or imagine the same scenario with Rod now snapping the photo of this Tug/Barge, unloading stone into the Upper Harbor hopper, just as the setting sun illuminates the scene. Nice way to smooth out the stress of a day, relaxing, while doing a bit of freighter watching.

Good Morning. Marquette Humane Society just cannot get out of that 4th position. They came to our aid this spring. Lets everyone give them the votes necessary to move up. Come on you freshies at FU, MTU, and NMU, get to voting, and same for the upper classpersons returning next week.

My wife and I got back from the Batchawana Bay area in the beautiful Dominion of Canada, today, and am just now looking at the pics from the last few days. As usual, Pasty.com has great photography, and the ones of feeding the chipmunk reminds me of an old photo of my Aunt Mary feeding a chipmunk from her hand at Pt. Lookout, east of Au Gres. In the others, the raspberries look very tasty (1 of my favorite fruits), and the rainbow and Great Lakes ship is another fine 1.
