Good morning from Mishawaka IN. Happy Halloween! It's 52° this morning and it looks like its going to rain. The weatherman says it will be dry for Trick or Treating this evening, but chilly. Has anyone heard anything about George Hite? It seems like he's usually ben heard from by now.

Sorry Helen and Cindy but I think L L has the upper hand today, sounds like they are a powerhouse this year.
Great pictures today.

Good morning, all. Happy Halloween!

It's been a wild ride out here on the dune since yesterday. Lots
of rain drumming on the roof and blearing the view throught the
windows. The wind has been cranked up into the 30-35 mph
range for most of the last 24 hours, with some gusts to almost
50. At 3 am today the house was doing that low thrumming
vibration it does when the air is really serious.

Lake Michigan has whitecaps out to the horizon. The north pier
light at the Muskegon breakwater is taking big waves;
sometimes it just disappears in huge blasts of spray. Fun to
watch from shore, but here's a prayer for safety for all mariners.

Looks like the clouds are breaking a little on the western
horizon. Hope that means some sunlight later today. I'll have to
make sure the kids are dressed warm for trick-or-treating
tonight.

NKR,it must be a Mishawaka thing to be thinking about George Hite. I have been wondering about him the last few days. I hope things are going fine for him and he just hasn't gotten to the website yet.
Last night the Cavemen played their sixth game in the rain this season. I watched on the internet as I was a chicken to sit again in the rain.

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 12:56 pm:

Hi, Happy Halloween, you all! Congratulation to the winners in last night's playoff games, including Calumet Copper Kings, Midland High over Flushing, and others. At least one previously unbeaten team was knocked off last night, and shut out, to boot. Good luck to those who are playing today. :-)

Yesterday was an incredibly stormy day, here in mid-Michigan. My son took my Suburban to school today, a rare occurrence. He was really glad he had it because he said he passed at least three cars that were stalled out in the high waters, from the street flooding, on the way to school, because of the torrential rains early yesterday morning.

Thank you, pasty, for prividing me with the ability to listen to the Lake Linden/Ontonagon football game. Lakes are kicking butt and I sure hope it stays that way. I think it's 36-6 at the half.

Goooooooooooo Lakes!!!!!!!!!!!

By JimH (Jhattica) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 04:26 pm:

Could anyone give me a final score of the Lake Linden - Ontonagan game?

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 04:29 pm:

Lake Linden 46, Ontonagon 12

By JimH (Jhattica) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 04:40 pm:

By David (Dave) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 05:21 pm:

Time to give the Bridge Cam a kick and set the time. Any one home?

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 06:11 pm:

You're welcome! I wish the Wolverines were winning also, but they look absolutely awful against the Illini. The play calling stinks!!! How can you not get a touchdown with a 1st and goal from the 1 yd line? Ask the Wolverines!!

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 06:17 pm:

Wolverines 13, Illinois 31. Still some time left though.

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 - 06:18 pm:

7 minutes left. michigan and illinois
