So, you're walking along on a U.P. trail in the woods and you see something up ahead that's bright orange and looks like it could be litter, but as you bend down to pick it up, you realize it's a mushroom, not litter at all. That's pretty much how Brenda Leigh found this Orange Peel Fungi, otherwise known as an Aleuria Aurantia. Once again, I'm impressed by the beauty that nature supplies us with each and every day.

David Woon found a more common sight as you're walking along a forest trail...the ever present ferns, which this time of year turn to a golden brown covering the ground.

Our last photo today, was one I just couldn't resist. Amy Cloutier snapped this shot of The Incredibles, a.k.a. her niece and two nephews, who seem to be practicing for tomorrow night's trick or treating. They sure are convincing, it's hard to tell the real characters, from the kids. ;-)

Brenda, what a glorius picture!
And thank you David for a different perspective on a common site. Great pics guys. Thanks for sharing.

Great photos folks. Never heard of those stunning orange mushrooms! And David comes up with the neatest snaps that seem so simple at first. What an eye for beauty! And what could be cuter than kids hamming it up.

Another great day in the photo department! Never have seen an orange peel mushroom, I wonder how many have, but how nice to meet it on Pasty. Seeing the brown fern from a photo gives this a different perspective, too...from now on, I'll see it in a different light. The kids are adorable! It's their time to "howl".
Thanks to all!

Hi
One of the Incredibles (the daughter) had the power to become invisible; maybe she's in the shot as well but we can't see her. ;>)

It's cold, windy and looks like late November out. A peek of sun once in a while. Perfect kind of day to catch up on 3 weeks of no pasty and enjoying every minute!

Late Friday night, 44 degrees here in TX going down to the upper 30s. Veryyyy chilly lately with all our wind. But then back to some milder days and nights. I've tried to hold back winter, but you sure cannot hold back Mother Nature!

Do enjoy all God has given to us!

Wonderful pictures!
