There are lots of lighthouses and beacons around the Great Lakes. Name two locations where these are seen in today's Decade Review.

Especially like the Crisp Point Lighthouse + the Pictured Rocks pics.

FRNash, didn't your grandad every teach you not to talk with a mouthful of pork and pine stew?

Just the beginning of an ol' Finnish ditty about a porcupine (Finnish: pikisika = porcupine — "quill pig" literally), the rest of which I don't remember).

By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Thursday, June 25, 2009 - 07:50 pm:

I've heard that much of the porcupine ditty also.

Hey, did you hear that Michael Jackson died? An American icon, whether you liked him or not, is gone. It seems unbelievable to me.

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Thursday, June 25, 2009 - 08:15 pm:

This has been a crazy week. First, Ed McMahan, then Farrah Fawcett, now Michael Jackson.

By kay Moore (Mskatie) on Thursday, June 25, 2009 - 09:36 pm:

My opinion of him is not very good. He was a handsome child but his mental health was off. Talent wasted, by my standards.

By David Hiltunen (Davidcorrytontn) on Friday, June 26, 2009 - 12:02 am:

I liked Michael Jackson for his music. I had a poster of Farrah on my door many many years ago when I wanted to become a plumber so I could fix her faucet and Olivia Newton's John.

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Friday, June 26, 2009 - 04:39 am:

I'm sorry he died at a young age, but I have to admit I liked him better when he was with his brothers as the Jackson 5 (remember the Saturday morning cartoon of them?).

By Theresa R. Brunk (Trb0013) on Friday, June 26, 2009 - 06:53 am:

I have always been a huge MJ fan. Pity he had so many personal problems with his life. So talented and gifted in many ways. My favorite song? "Do You remember the time"
