This Early Bird question will take a little research (i.e., a few clicks). Who is the king in the 2007 photo of today's Decade review?

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Saturday, November 1, 2008 - 08:36 am:

Hugh Conklin, Executive Director for Boyne City Main Street, is the king eating the pasty in 2007.

Good Morning, all! Happy Saturday! :-)

There is a strong belief that the old verities of independence and self-reliance can be found today only in a place....
like the U.P.

Good morning from Mishawaka IN. Beautiful sunrise over Copper Harbor this morning. Compliments of the Copper Harbor Michigan website. Its going to be partly sunny and in the low 60's today here in northern Indiana. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning! Two Early Birds in a row By Marianne, sweet. Oh my tummy, I ate to many candy bars. Why do they make them so small now a days?

By Uncle Chuck @ Little Betsy (Unclechuck) on Saturday, November 1, 2008 - 09:24 am:

Way to go Marianne!

We gave up on candy and started giving out water. Most of the kids love it and the liltle ones like the choice between 8 and 16 oz. bottles (and we don't snack on them too much, Dave:). Some of them had finished their bottles and we let them com back for seconds after I took their picture.

Good morning! I just now got my internet working after being without it for a day and a half. I'm having withdrawals!

Just watched Neil's DVD (finally, I've only had it for 2 weeks). It was spectacular and all I'd hoped for. I'll have to watch it on a wide screen TV, though, because I think I may have missed some of the titles. However, some of the titles didn't even need to be shown because you recognized them even from the air. Others I didn't really know where they were even after seeing the titles, but they were beautiful just the same. I will have to order the next one now. Maybe we'll keep you in gas money for that plane, Neil, so you can continue to take wonderful pictures of the places we love so.

Just traveled that Ontonagon bridge for the first time this past summer. Very nice. We took a lot of pictures of that area while we were going through there. Beautiful area.

Have a great weekend, everybody. I'm off to a bowling tournament. Seems I never have a free weekend anymore.

Great pictures of the kids.

We always give out 'freeze pops' - frozen. The little ones giggle with delight at getting something different and even the teenagers like 'em.

By David Hiltunen (Davidcorrytontn) on Saturday, November 1, 2008 - 08:31 pm:

Good idea on the freeze pops.

To mickill mouse; I bet if you ask FRNash very nicely he would explain to you how to go back and edit your post when you see you made a mistake. It is very easy to do, and he will walk you thru it step by step in fine detail. That way you won't waste a extra post.

To David Hiltunen:
No thank you.

By David Hiltunen (Davidcorrytontn) on Sunday, November 2, 2008 - 01:35 pm:

Mickill Mouse. Well, okay then. We are all family members here at Pasty Central, able, willing, with a vast knowledge of many things, hundreds of years of experience. Do not be shy, all one must do is ask. There is no such thing as a stupid question. Do you know how to Copy & Paste? I am good at that. Not supposed to write personal like e-mail here, however yours is not listed.
