da Rod, in need of some paint.

Maybe some work on his tan... but paint? Mr. Burdick would probably pass.

The 2004 pic of the 'Calumet' by Rod Burdick is the ship that 'delivers the goods'.

Thanks for clearing that up

Good morning! What a cool looking car!!!

I sure do wish we could still visit the Douglas Houghton Falls. We did have a lot of good times there as kids. Packed a picnic lunch and walked up there. Those were the days.

Have a great day everybody!

Here is a question about the "Calumet" picture.
Sorry, but no awards for this question.

What port was the "Calumet" entering??

Two more days and we will be in the Keweenaw for a long needed vacation. Long weekend to relax and view the color and do some geocaching.

That light would be the Menominee North Pier Light. The Calumet no longer appears in that form. She is in the middle stages of being scrapped. Although the name still exists but on a different boat.

Sugarloaf- Now that brings back the memories, thanks!

Here is a pic I got of the "Calumet" Sept. 14, 07 downbound on the St. Clair River just off the end of our road north of Marine City. (That's Canada in the background!)

The 'Calumet' was one of my favorite boats, but when I first got to know "her", she was the "Myron C. Taylor". She used to pass through the Pine River Channel on a regular basis, in Charlevoix. Really hated to see her go.:(
