The Brockway shot from 2006 is exactly how it looks here in the northern U.P. this morning, with blowing clouds rolling around the Keweenaw.

Good morning! Those clouds are very ominous looking. It rained all day here yesterday, but now the sky is blue and the sun is shining.

It's quiet in my part of Idaho today. So far no wind, no snow, and the puddles from all the rain are evaporating. I even noticed a bit of sun... a
minute ago...

Did that tree ever fall over completely?

...and if it fell, did it make a sound?

I just want to take the time right now, to thank each and every one of you who helped in ANY way during the last year and a half of my nephew Kevin's struggle with Leukemia. Whether it was in your thoughts and prayers, whether you sent a card, a note, a donation, attended the benefit, donated something for the raffle, visited Kevin at the hospital, helped to make something easier for him during his stay, attended his visitation or funeral, no matter how small or how big, it was greatly appreciated by Kevin and our entire family and will not be forgotten. All the caring of folks like you, made an unbearable time, a bit easier to get through. May he rest in peace now... Thank you.

Mary, I am glad Kevin is now at peace. No more worries about suffering. May God Bless each and everyone in your family.

That dramatic picture of storm clouds is what we're facing a lot of these days in northwestern Illinoi and of course Iowa. It just seems to roll across our skies by the hour especially today. Just what we need with all the flooding around here and south of here! My goodness the hand of Mother Nature still controlls us mere humans' lives doesn't she!!!!!

A while back there was a discussion as to how to traipse the back woods to find the Montreal Falls near Smith Fisheries and Bete Gris. Any chance of locating that information again?

Thanks, I'm so excited to be going U.P. next week.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Worried that we haven't heard from Bobbysgirl today. Hear that the flooding is really bad in Cedar Rapids.
