Good Morning, Everyone! The last several days have been so nice here in mid-Michigan, with highs above normal, that the buds on our trees are swelling, etc, so they are getting close to blossoming out, but they aren't there yet. With these above normal temps, I'm at least a little bit worried that Mother Nature will come back and get us, with a freeze, nipping things in the bud, so to speak, and kill off the fruit crops (like cherries and apples, etc) again, like She has in some years Past! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that does not happen this year. Our weather has been truly wonderful these last few days, complete with daytime high temps in the high 60's or low 70's! Today, we don't have the sun and the blue skies, but it will be nice & warm again! :-)

Morning! I had to take a second look this morning down at my stable. I almost thought there was a few patches of snow, but it's white winter hair from where my white/gray horses have been rolling. Those horses were nice and warm for the winter, they had extra winter hair. Have a great day everyone!

I Never tire of the rivers and falls photos.

After publishing the Pasty Cam this morning, Buddy and I took our regular walk here in Eagle River. But this morning it was different. Only yesterday the roadsides were a brown mass of matted down leaves and melting snow. This morning there are green sprigs of grass sprouting up everywhere. Still some snow in the shadows back in the woods, but it won't last long with temps expected in the 60's.

Spring is my favorite time of year due to the many springs I experienced in Laurium. There is such a renewal, both in watching the snow disappear and experiencing the new life emerging with the regreening of the landscape. Spring is truly special up there in the Keweenaw.
