Through the past 10 years, the Pasty Cam pages have held quite a number of pictures with animals doing entertaining things and these three photos from Greta Jones (top two) and Donna MacIntosh (bottom photo) extend the tradition. Wouldn't you just love to hear what those two cats are thinking? Or better yet, what the squirrel outside the window would have to say? Greta's second kitty shot was not meant to brag or anything, but it seems to show that felines in the Keweenaw are of the more intelligent type. ;->

Then Donna captured the acrobatic talent of this Yooper squirrel, as it clings to the screen door on a quest for something. Could be he's after that seed on the ground or maybe just a better view of Keweenaw Bay!

And good morning from Savanna Illinois. The river is open now and I can see wavelets. What a difference a day makes. Looks like there might not be much flooding of the Old Man River after all.

We had a tiger cat that would sit at the window and chatter at the squirrels.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 - 08:06 am:

When we had Siamese cats they too would "chatter" at squirrels, birds, etc. we were told by a "cat expert" that the "chattering" was a way of hypnotising the intruder. Who knew?

Those are really some cute pictures.

SUPER pics again this morning...thanks, Greta and Donna!

Those are cute, I think the cat fell asleep reading that book shortly after the picture was taken. Most of us have found ourselves face first in textbooks at some point, osmoses does not work!

I can certainly understand why that cat fell asleep...I would, too, reading about chemical bonds. Yawn! I'm feeling sleepy already.

Is that a pine squirrel? The UP squirrels seem
a bit smaller than the gray squirrels.

I love the pictures today! That first one of the cats-watching the squirrel -is sooo cute.Then- the cat reading a book upside down- amazing. The squirrel on the screen is showing how saucy and bold a squirrel can be!Cheery photos on a cloudy day!!!!

By Donna (Donna) on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 - 08:33 pm:

It's a Red Squirrel is all I know. I bank my cabin for insulation and the squirrels have tunneled up against the glass doors. They have been hours of entertainment. For my cats! I know how the cats in the above picture act..I've watched it all winter, and it's been hilarious.

Wouldn't you know that a squirrel would eat right in front of two hungry felines. The audacity. The pictures are great!
