By Theresa R Brunk (Trb0013) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 07:34 am:

I wish I could say in 4 days I will cross over the Mac, but I am stuck in Tampa. Good Morning All. Another hot day in store I am sure. What is the status on the fire?

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 07:46 am:

Would you guys all please say a prayer for Mary Drew and her family. Her mom is in very bad shape now and Mary's staying with her. She doesn't think she will last much longer. Mary is a wonderful person and I pray for her to have the strength she needs to get through this. She and her mom are very close. Thank you.

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 09:11 am:

Good Morning, All! I hope we will get some rain today. We have a 50% chance.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Mary! This has been a really rough summer for you. Take care.

By Margaret, Amarillo TX (Margaret) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 09:32 am:

That's such an inviting look.

By Charlotte, Mishawaka, IN (Charlotte61) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 10:51 am:

Good morning from Mishawaka, IN. We've gone from near drought conditions to having to much rain. More coming today. Wish I could some of it to the Sleeper Lake area.
Mary, you've had a tough year. You are in my prayers.
Jillann, I agree with you about Brooke and Vicki's notes being more fun than back to school in 3 days. It's way to soon to go back. I like MI idea of no school until after Labor Day. The plus to this is I won't be doing it next year as I plan to retire at the end of this school year.

The "Cliff" mine/townsite tour that the Keweenaw Co. Hist. Soc. did in July: PAUL MEIER or anybody, how did this turn out?If I could have made a wish it would have been to participate in that day trip.

Yes Charlotte,
I agree with way too early -- the ridiculous part is that we are not air conditioned in the majority of the buildings and we go this early and are out May 15th if no snow days- 2oth with.
Prayers to Mary and family and all who are going through strive

Mary Drew we send you our Deepest Sympathy at your Loss.
We were at the location of todays what's up photo last September. The Bridge that had been there when we were there in 1997 had been replaced by a much more substantial bridge. I spent alot of time at this lake as a boy as my father had a camp on the lake.

By s. dearing (Geebeed) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 08:46 pm:

Mary -
So sorry to learn of the passing of your Mother. Will be keeping you and family in thoughts and in prayers and holding you in my heart.

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 09:11 pm:

Mary, you have my deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother. Time will help you remember only the good times you had together, as I found with the passing of both of my parents years ago. After my Mom died, I became very close to my Godmother, as my friend and confidant. And, when my Godmother passed, one of my very good friends took that place. It helps a lot, but it will never be quite the same. Just know that your mother is now in a better place and that you will join her some day. :-)

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Take care!

By Laurie B. (Ratherberiding) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 09:29 pm:

Mary, you have my sympathies. God will give you the strength that you will need.

By Cheryl Rozman (Cotton) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 09:41 pm:

For Someone Special to All Of Us
Dear Lord
there's someone special whose heart must be consoled,
Someone who's lost a dear one & needs Your hand to hold-
So please, Lord, take this sadness and put there in its place
The comfort of Your gift of hope,
the strength of Your own grace,
And bless this person with YOur peace,
with reassurance,too,
That You walk close beside the one
who needs to lean on You.

Mary,You have many friends across this world who are with you in thoughts & prayers. You are not alone.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 09:43 pm:

Cheryl that was beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes. I just know that those words will help Mary and others who are going through the same thing.

By Theresa R Brunk (Trb0013) on Friday, August 10, 2007 - 09:18 am:

Dearest Mary, I was saddened to read this morning of the passing of your most loving Mother. "When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight" Kahlil Gibran

God Bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

By AJ - WI (Ajinwi) on Thursday, August 9, 2007 - 09:14 pm:

Mary: I am saddened to hear about your loss. You are in the thoughts and prayers of many, many, people. It is so hard to lose a loved one and there is no way to prepare for it - even if it is expected. Our parents have loved us unconditionally. May God bless and keep all of you in His care.
