A bunch of classic cars in Houghton eight years ago on the Pasty Cam. The tall building in the background on the Hancock side is D&N bank, which has changed names a few times since '99.

David, I only have a few days up there too. Missing the Strawberry Festival and it bums me out, always had a blast when I was a kid at it. Hope everyone has a good weekend, I'm playing with the kids before they head south to be with the grandparents.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Saturday, June 23, 2007 - 04:18 pm:

I have several car pics in one of my albums in the gallery from across the UP, including my 68 Roadrunner. Sure wish we were up there tonight to drive it around in some nice cool weather. We go to a cruise-in here every Saturday night, weather permitting, which from the looks of things will be cancelled.

By Michael Du Long (Mikie) on Saturday, June 23, 2007 - 04:25 pm:

Paul I remember when the Roadrunners were first built I was in charge of the little bird that went on the side, my office was broke into so many times that I started to take the birds home with me. Just was reminded of that by one of the old fellow Plymouth workers.

Buick? Lincoln?

Anyhow, Davesou's Story reminded me of a fishing story and a tree. We were fishing in a lake in NH, two of the shore, two offshore in a tiny boat, when we heard creaking and moaning like a tree falling. All looked up, especially those on shore as the sound was uncomfortably close. then, the birch tree right between them took a very dignified fall into the lake right at their feet. Missed each of them by two or three feet.
Paul looked at the tree that had just missed him and said "Great, another place to look for fishies."
