Happy New Year to all. We've enjoyed seeing all the photos (present and past)this year. Yooper, keep us humored....we enjoy your work! I would like to hear what everyone is doing to bring in the New Year........God Bless and Peace be with you.

By Mary, NWOh on Friday, December 31, 2004 - 09:56 am:

We always have a quiet party at home. A few friends playing games. We always talk about going to Port Clinton, OH to watch the Walleye drop but never do. All of our snow is gone, it sure doesn't feel like December. Have a safe and happy New Year, everyone.

By Cindy, St. Clair Shores, MI on Friday, December 31, 2004 - 10:13 am:

We will be spending the night with our new grandson who will be staying overnight for the first time. He has brought such joy to us since he was born four months ago. We look forward to showing him the beauty of the U.P. when he gets older. I bet he'll love it as much as we do. Happy new year to all of you.

Easy going in West Texas--no snow today, probably golf tomorrow. Hoeli maka hikiho!

Happy New Year to all pasty people!

Our snow in Commerce is not quite gone, but probably will be by tomorrow as we are not expected to dip below 32.

So glad to see that the Keweenaw will turn cold again. Bring on the snow for the Techies to make their wonders!

(Staying home tonight. Will be giving some thought to a true resolution that I need to make and will stick to!)

We will be spending the evening at home, with a special surf and turf dinner planned...steaks on the grill and shrimp scampi. Yum, yum...my mouth is watering in anticipation already! Happy New Year to one and all!

By kosk --back in Toronto on Friday, December 31, 2004 - 11:08 am:

Our family is recently back from a trip to visit
our relatives and friends in the U. P. As
always, it was hard to leave. The snow was
so beautiful in the Keweenaw. Here's to the
"landscape of my heart!".

My husband and I will be staying in tonight,
recovering from colds, eating all sorts of
yummies and sending e-mails to family and
friends. The three younger members of our
group will probably eat and run. There are big
doings on New Year's Eve in Toronto--First
Night festivities are held downtown.

Happy New Years to all. Rick & I will be sitting in together watching all the festivities taking place all over. And remembering how we used to spend our New Years Eve years ago. We'd visit some old friends of his parents for awhile then would go to a bar about 10:30 & visit with friends, then go to another bar & visit. All of the bars had goodies out for people to eat. It was fun! But back then you didn't hear anything about drinking & driving. It wasn't a smart idea then as it isn't now but that's the way it was then. Also about 13 years ago tonight I FINALLY gave up smoking. Had tried 3 times before but this time I made it. Havn't touched one since that New Years Eve many years ago. I'm proud to say that that's one New Years resolution I've been able to keep.Happy New Years to all pasty staff & all who come on this great site.

Well, when you do not get invited to a party, have one yourself and invite all of those who wouldn't otherwise be invited any where else. So we are having a get-together of ages 3-90!
No adult beverages, just pop (soda) and chips and shrimp and dip, etc!
Ya'll come on over. Coffee??

Mary, your meal sounds just so yummy!

Happy New Year to everyone.

Happy New Year to all in Jake and to dah sistahs.

Appears as though two freighters will be celebrating New Years Eve on anchor, in Bete Grise. Farther off-shore than usual, it's too grey and blowy to identify either of them yet.

Happy New Year to one and all!

Happy New Year to all who visit this site and especially those who make this site possible.
My husband and I will be spending the evening with friends of 50 years. We'll all bring a dish and have a great time eating and talking. The guys will be watching football. The "girls" and I meet when I was 10 years old. Could be nothing better than to welcome a new year with those who mean the most.
Snow is mostly gone here in Mishawaka, IN. High was in the 50s yesterday and should be there again today.

Cheryl: CONGRATULATIONS!! From all the smokers I know, I realize how hard your challenge was. Several have managed to quit, but started again. Congratulations on your duration.

(Thank God I never smoked, cause I know I am one of those people who could not quit!)

Happy New Year to all around the world, may 2005 bring you all that you need.
For our New Year, soon 3 of the grandkids will be here to spend the night (so their parents can go out)we will be doing hamburgers and stuff on the grill. Also some shrimp and crabs. Then early to bed and up early in the morning to go to the beach and watch the first sunrise of the year. After that a breakfast at a local place and take the kids home to Mom and Dad. Hope they do not have hangovers.
