If you're in the area, stop by the Open House at Vocational Strategies tomorrow (Friday) at the Houghton County Airpark. VSI (formerly known as the Copper Country Workshop) has been a long-time supporter of Pasty Central. They also provide the "Yooper Calendars" which are presently available with pasty orders.

Miss da Yoop,

No freighters as of now. FINALLY some snow, as the Thanksgiving prediction of like a foot, ended up at an inch down here at Bete Grise. Mr. Bill has a new "Binford 5000" mega snowblower and has been mooning like a "deer in the headlights" looking out for enough snow to justify cranking this puppy up!

We'll post any new new boat pic's, as we're "camp bound" all winter. Other boat pic's posted on Pasty Guest Gallery, under Bill Haller.

Okay Eldred, you got me, where the heck is CHATUM MI?

By ELDRED GREEN VALLEY AZ on Thursday, December 2, 2004 - 07:54 pm:

FR Nash

May have the spelling wrong, but it is near
Marquette Mi in Alger Co. Only 29 degrees here this morning. Had to cover the tomatoes.

By Paul, Webberville Troll on Thursday, December 2, 2004 - 09:06 pm:

Hey E.H. Troll! How far do you travel? I suppose you would want milage to come and do ours. You could do Mo's while you were in the neighborhood.

By Ken ja Mimi from da UP on Thursday, December 2, 2004 - 09:20 pm:

It's spelled Chatham, north of Trenary, south of Marquette, and east of US41.

By H. I. Larious on Thursday, December 2, 2004 - 09:27 pm:

Isn't Chatham a suburb of Eben?

By Mary Drew at Pasty Central on Thursday, December 2, 2004 - 09:33 pm:

Chatham's location revealed!

By Niece Sarah, LB on Friday, December 3, 2004 - 07:35 am:

Hey Norma in Midland and UC, LB- When are we going to have Christmas in LB? We can run some lights out to a pine on a line from da sauna house and hang a couple onaments on it then have Christmas dinner while looking out over da lake with a fire in da fireplace! Sounds good eh?

By FRNash/PHX, AZ on Friday, December 3, 2004 - 10:23 am:

Re: Chatum/Chatham, MI:
Thanks for the pointers, folks. (Okay, so the mis-spelling did fool me for a bit, 'cuz I couldn't find it in Street Atlas USA!)

In all my years explorin' the Yoop, I've never been on M94 west of Munising or M67 North & East of Trenary! I see I've missed out on beautiful downtown Eben Junction, Rumley, Traunik and even Melstrand! I must admit I have much more to see in Alger County. The U.P. - so much to see, so little time!
