When talking about the U.P. weather, you'll often hear folks say, "If you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes, it'll change!" That sums up this past weekend pretty well. Mike Radigan captured a glimpse of the sky with the sun trying real hard to peak through the clouds that covered most of the skyline over the weekend. The clouds brought us some sloppy weather Saturday morning, making it look more like spring. Then by Sunday morning, some areas of the Keweenaw dropped to 8 or 9 degrees. Brrrr! I'm not sure what the visual difference in a rain or snow cloud is, but I'm guessing it's sometimes hard for the clouds themselves to decide just what they're going to send down on us!

A couple of side notes... Live High School Hockey coverage resumes on Pasty.NET this evening, as the Jeffers Jets travel to Negaunee at 7pm. Also, don't forget to get you pasty gift orders in as soon as possible. I understand the shipping days are filling up fast ;->

Good Morning to all.
Woke up to sleet this morning down here between Port Huron and Detroit.
Have a great week.

Oh, that is a cold looking sun. That sky is not warm enough to even burst out in color. I want to bundle up just looking at that sky.
32° here in this corner of Houghton County. Let's hope for a mild day.

Wow Mike, like did you have to put on an extra pair of longies just to stand out there and wait for the sun to show up?

By Frances, Georgia on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 06:53 am:

The bridge cam looks like it is snowing. Bet that cold looking sun in the above pic will come out in a day or so and it will be beautiful. I look forward to seeing some great shots of your famous white stuff. As for us poor trolls, it is raining and dull today. Wish I was in the UP, no matter what the weather is.

It looks pretty chilly up there by this picture. Why is the bridge down? I guess I missed that conversation.

Words can't do justice to the photos on this site, talk about make me homesick!!! Sure am glad I found it and thanks for thinking of all us displaced Yoopers, I'll be looking at these every day.

Char, Thanks for the information on the bridge. That's a good thing to know. It's been many years since I was on a snowmobile.
