By RD, Iowa on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 - 10:32 am:

Is it possible to have the link for the 'Ancestors' page, and other on-going forums availible in a list somewhere?

Good idea, RD, check back on this page later today for a new listing format, as well as a 'blast from the past' daily link.

A "Blast from the past" daily link? If this is what it sounds like...you have made my day.

Yachting Season ?

The SAGINAW (639') just dropped anchor, joining the CANADIAN TRANSPORT (730') in Bete Grise bay. Bet we're in for a blustery night on the windward side.

By smf in troll land on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 - 12:51 pm:

Does anyone have a picture of the ships in Bete Grise Bay?

By neat on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 - 02:40 pm:

We need to get Mr Bill a webcam

By Mr.Bill on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 - 02:53 pm:

re: Pictures

Yes,we have a picture but Mrs. Bill is the only one in the family that knows how to down load the camera. I'm just the two finger typing putz.

We'll try and get it up in the next hour or so.

By LB, update on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 - 04:44 pm:

LB update, Ben did'nt shoot his foot off, though his Cherokee did get a dose of UP pin stripes, Marty actually stayed dry and his truck still works, grampa Norm ate well, after a trip to the ER, grampa Doug had indigestion, Mike never made it UP, Uncle Chuck just liked the 4 wheelin, Tem and Queets made it down for coffee and lunch a couple of times. The weather was so mild that a dip in the big lake was almost had. Betsy was beautiful and so was the CC, hope to make it back UP for work.

P.S.S. Sarah and Rachel, uncle Charlie has Big Red in good running condition for you.

Congrats, on the birth of Lyle

Here are most recent pictures of the SAGINAW (w.conveyor forward) and the CANADIAN TRANSPORT (w.conveyor amid-ship). Through a tricky angle, together they look close, but they're not.

Monitored the CANADIAN TRANSPORT asking the Coast Guard for the timing of next NOAA LS weather bulletin (1500 EST).

Mrs. Bill, great Pics! Wonder how long they had to stay there?

By Judy Chesaning MI on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 - 05:17 pm:

Thanks for posting the pictures. I have forwarded them to my friend's wife. Nervous times for those who have loved ones sailing.

By Mrs. Bill on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 - 05:51 pm:

To UC -

The CANADIAN TRANSPORT came into Bete Grise Bay last night sometime before 4:30 AM, and the SAGINAW came in this morning around 10 AM. Both are still here as I write. It is dark now, and both are lit up like cruise ships. We are happy that they are safely anchored here in Bete Grise Bay - a US Coast Guard designated safe haven. (If we could, we'd ask the crew in for pizza!)

Hey Pasty Cam!

How about a repeat of that picture of
a guy hauling his deer on a bicycle?
