First PostMorning everyone!

By Margaret, Amarillo TX on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 - 07:38 am:

Mornin', another rainy day in the Panhandle--very much unlike what we're use to. Loved those horses from today's pic. We do have a lot of those. In about a half hour our "traffic jam" on the way to work is horses, cattle and sometimes we're lucky to see the antelope. home, Home on the range.

Good morning! Looks like Tuesday mornings are slow for the message board, huh? I survived yet another opening day of rifle season yesterday to no avail. Saw a few little ones that were great to watch and found myself wondering if I could even shoot a big one anymore if the chance arose. Guess I might be getting a little soft with age? Fogging and drizzly in Muskegon, typical of this time of year. Getting quite anxious for snow!!!What's going on with everyone else today?

To DAVE, Colorado,
Thanks for the 'heads up' about the virus info you emailed earlier today, but fortunately this one IS a hoax, you can read about it here: snopes.com.

I tried emailing you about this and it was returned as undeliverable...

To all those mighty hunters at Little Betsy, Hope you are all having a great time. Thank heavens no little bambi's so far. Can't wait to get my hunters home to hear all those great stories how you shot and missed all those deer. Travel safe on your return trips starting tomorrow.

Sadly, there was another bad fire in the Upper Peninsula. The
Tahquamenon Falls Brewery and Pub burned down early this
morning and is a total loss. Such a shame, as we have enjoyed
many a fine meal there and have always found several unusual
items in the Camp 33 Gift Shop.

By Beertuna in Eagle, Michigan on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 - 05:36 pm:

Was the fire at Tahquamenon a forest fire that incidentally took out the brewery/pub, or was it essentially a building fire ?

By Janie, IA. on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 - 05:48 pm:

Being a owner of six Miniature Horses, a section "A" Welsh pony, an Appaloosa, and a Amer.Quarter horse...I really enjoyed seeing these pretty horses!! Thankyou!

By Char, WI on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 - 06:18 pm:

Just heard the evening news and the fire started in the gift shop (closed during November) and it was a total loss, but the
restaurant or parts of it might have been saved.

By Steve, Il. on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 - 06:40 pm:

Was at the Tahquamenon Brewery a few years ago, and enjoyed the product very much. It is a shame it is gone. I hope they rebuild.

Dassault Falcon 50, if I'm reading the registration correctly. Owned by a charter service from Ontario.

By PlaneGuyAgain on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 - 11:25 pm:

About $4,000 hour to charter or you can have your own for $7.5 Mil, if you don't like to share.
