Introducing anyone to Lake Superior for the first time is a grand event, since it's such a big lake. But if you're just a little tyke like Kaitlyn here, it must look enormous. These are three great shots to have for her photo album, so it's a good thing mommy - Tanya Voldarski - had her camera at the ready. Taking in the great expanse surrounding her, watching the gentle waves rolling in, then digging a hole almost as big as she is will definitely give this little Yooper her first taste of a lifelong attraction to Gitchee Gumee.

Even if your a big tyke, Lake Superior is enormous, yet impressive ;-)

Tanya, looks like you were on the southern shore of Bete Grise. This shot looks so familiar, and the beach was sandy like this next lot over from our (former) lot. Spent hours looking out toward that point. Do you, or family have a cottage out there, or was this from a park?

That little sunbaby is having the time of her life. She has her bikini on and sand everywhere else. Nothing like appreciating a beautiful view.

There are so many spots on Lake Superior that this looks like. It definitely does look like Bete Gris, it looks like it could be either Big or Little Traverse too.

Deb S., the penninsula across the way, with the distant portion extending out is exactly as I remember it. It's hard to tell distance with a picture though, so our cottage may have been even further south...

I miss my summers there.

Beautiful little girl. It looks like she was having a great time...how much better can it get!

These shots were taken at a friends place in Misery Bay... She sure did enjoy her self can't wait to take her back...
