Seems like we just had our memorial page, since February is a short month. We recall those that have left us too soon, especially:

Elmer Aho
Francis "Frank" Cuff
Edwin Gransell
Bernd R. Lindeman
Catherine “Tinka” Niemi
Reuben Normand
James “Jim” Pini
John “Topper” Ricci
Buckley Richard Zarda
Servicemen and women and
Frontline workers who have given their all

We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to those who have lost someone near and dear to them. Please feel free to add the names of anyone you’d like to remember on this page.

Special thanks to Brita Haapala, for the peaceful winter sunrise to reflect and remember.

We begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived.
And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Beautiful sunrise and condolences to all who have lost loved ones recently.

Does anyone know, if the above name, Elmer Aho, is the famous Country Music DJ from WJPD in Ishpeming?
We used to listen to him all the time when we were at deer hunting camp, he was terrific!

Yes, it is the same, hope he's playing those old hits up in heaven, I know some folks up there that would reallyappreciate hearing him and those hits!! :=)) Truly, a very kind man!!

We lost some incredible folks this month. Frank Cuff was my right arm when I needed him. FABULOUS man. Reuben Normand...what wonderful memories when I read that name. Our parents were friends with them, and we'd visit lots at his parent's place...that's where I rode a pig! Topper Ricci.."It just don't get any better"...what a wonderful guy he was. Never saw him in a bad mood. Jim Pini..great guy....and Ed Gransell....just such an amazing young man. Gone way too soon.....

May the good Lord wrap all in his loving arms.

Wow, Donna looks like we're both remembering the same people. Frank Cuff was a great guy. I remember Jim Pini and Topper also. Do you know where Reuben Normand was from? Normand is my mom's maiden name.

Beautiful picture. Sincerest sympathy to the families of these great people.

Also at this time in our world, I think about all of those in Ukraine, fighting for their freedoms against the Russians. And I pray that this doesn't startanything bigger.

Deb S. ...Reuben Normand was from Lake Linden and had a farm out on the Cemetery Road. He would have been your Mom's cousin.

What a beautiful sunrise and a beautiful thought:

Your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Many years ago my Grandpa died just before my 10th birthday. The day of the funeral was a brutal snowy day and the hearse got stuck bringing the family back from the cemetery. It all just added to the misery that Grandpa was gone and all we had left were our memories to hold dear. Still miss you Grandpa!

Blessings of comfort to all who are mourning family and friends this month.
