Jeff Dennis and family recently spent a chilly evening at the Portage Lake Lower Entry Corp of Engineers dock. Jeff was busy snapping photos on land, while Walter (Jeff’s son) was piloting the drone for some aerial shots, along with a drone video of their adventure there. Beautiful colors in the sky as evening descended on them there. We get a look at the Fishing boat, Kathy, who’s blue hull stands out against the snow and ice and then the green 7 sign, which Jeff said he believes the number corresponds to locations on nautical charts of the area.

Then Walter takes over with a couple shots from the air as he flies the drone around the Lower Entry, where Portage Lake opens into Lake Superior, capturing cinematic drone footage of the surrounding area. Sit back and enjoy the tour!

Love all those pics, especially the first one with the detail in the moon. Great video too, makes me think about buying a drone!

My favorite is the shot of the moon. What a
gorgeous picture. I guess Walter got a new
drone for Christmas. That's cool. His
drone videos are always fun.

The only word that comes to mind is, BEAUTIFUL. The
pictures, the video and the music were all perfect.
The music to the video was great. Made me feel like
I was floating along the canal, too.
Did not have to mute the music.

Hey, Deb. How does it feel to be back in Lake
Linden? When we moved up here in 2009, we rented a
house in Lake Linden for a while. Then moved to
Houghton.

Hi Mickill, it's been good being back. The
summer and fall months were so gorgeous.
Every chance we got we headed to the lake,
trying to hit a different spot each time.
Winter is not as great, lol. But we've been
getting fresh air and exercise most days
thanks to all the snow we have. I love Lake
Linden having grown up here. Don't know for
sure if it's permanent or not. Time will
tell.
