I’m excited, and I think all Pasty Cam-watchers will be, too. The Dennis family has a new eye in the sky! My first thought at seeing this is that Santa was good to them, but it wasn’t exactly jolly St. Nick. Jeff told me that he had purchased insurance on their original drone, so after it went down in Lake Superior they contacted the insurance, filled out whatever needed filling out, sent in the final video of the drone for analyzing and waited. Jeff was then offered a cash option toward a new drone or the option of waiting for the technician to check over the video and determine if its going down was due to something they had done in error, which made it go rogue. He said he went with the sure thing, rather than take a chance that the technician would come back with saying it was their error. So, to make a long story short, they were able to purchase a new drone at a discount and Jeff and Walter are back in business again, with a new “eye in the sky”.

These evening shots of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge with the canal frozen over sure are a welcome sight with Walter’s talents behind the lens. Looking UP the canal, looking down onto the Bridge and then looking straight at it, with the sliver of moon on the right, just beautiful.

Then to top it off, the video is outstanding. All around the Bridge, plus you’ll see snowmobiles on the Houghton waterfront trail, skaters on the Skating Ribbon at Kestner Park and the trail groomer crossing the Bridge. What a great comeback. Looking forward to many more photos and videos from Walter and Jeff.

Great pics & video, really enjoyed the piano in the
background... quite soothing, I could listen to that
all afternoon!!

Walter & Jeff, as the saying goes... " Keep the
shiny side up and hope you don't take the new drone
swimming" ;=)

As for the technician... where's his sisu, I think
he should do a water retrieval expedition!!:=))...jk

Very nice collection of pix and another superb
video...both visually and auditorily.

"Looking UP the Canal"...the last words that I
heard my proctologist say before I went under.

Always love seeing the bridge. I'll get to
the video later because I'm so far behind
with these.
