Beth Jukuri captured some wintry country road scenes to share with us today. Even though Beth says she is not thrilled at all to be leaving home in the morning, when she hears the winds blowing and it is snowing, she still looks for scenes that catch her eye and today’s shots definitely caught mine, too. What great examples of making the best of a snowy, blowy situation and finding the joy in it. Even though she appreciates the beauty such as today’s photos, she said she is just happy to be off on Sunday and added that Spring isn't far off. I sure hope she’s right, after the snow and cold we’ve had for days this past week. We were behind in total snowfall, but I think we are catching up now, at least to the amounts on the ground.

It’s no fun driving on country roads when the wind and snow are drifting them shut. It’s no fun to be delivering mail, out in the cold all day, when the temperatures are frigid and wind chills are below zero. Don’t forget to thank your mail carrier or rural route delivery person. Yes, they get paid, but in frigid weather it’s not enough. Thank you Beth, for your deliveries and for sharing the joy you find on your route.

Bob Gilreath is taking us on a walk-around in the snow and cold near his Hubbell home today. You can tell how cold it was by the squeaky crunch of his boots. brrrr

Beautiful farm scene. I am amazed how much these
pictures could easily be here in Iowa with the 2-2
1/2 ft of snowfall on the ground currently.
Thankful i grew up and still live on our farm all
four seasons year long.

Saw those round hay bales, but I heard that the cows complained that they weren't getting a good square meal any more.
