Steve Brimm over at Steve Brimm Photography has been working that shutter button finger out with night views lately. First with an outstanding photo of the comet Neowise, and the International Space Station, which Steve says was photobombing across the sky. That’s quite the capture and done sort of hand held, against a railing, as Steve said it caught him off guard for picture taking.

Then Steve shared this great shot of the moon over Copper Harbor and Lake Superior, saying that Neowise may be fading, but the moon is waxing and makes some additional night sky beautiful shots.

The third photo is the Isle Royale Queen back at her home dock again and it looks like she was greeted by a rainbow to welcome her back. The Queen won’t be transporting folks to Isle Royale this year, nor will she be taking folks out for Sunset Cruises, but it’s still good to see her back where she belongs in Copper Harbor. Steve said that hearing her horn blow as she returned to the Harbor, was music to his ears.

Another Copper Harbor sound that is soothing and folks like to hear, is the bell on the entrance buoy to the Harbor. Steve also shares a video he made a few years ago from his boat, with the bell ringing nearby and then a sunset to top of the cruise on Steve’s boat.

Terrific pictures. I love them all. We took the
sunset cruise one year. I loved it. Thanks for
sharing.

Thanks Steve for another great picture of the comet. Never saw it 'in person'. The picture of the moon rivals it tho - what planet is in the upper right hand corner?

Can understand why they aren't going to Isle Royale but it seems like there is enough room to social distance for the sunset cruises.
