When you have three furry friends, like Judy Byykkonen does, it doesn’t matter how cold or how windy it is, they want to get outside and stretch their legs. They recently made a dog outing to the shores of Lake Superior at Calumet Waterworks Park, a.k.a. Bucky’s. It looks like ice cover as far as the eye can see there, which makes for more running room for Judy’s “girls”. If you look closely in the second photo, you can see two of the doggies out there... a darker colored pup (Giselle) and a white one (Zelda). Don’t worry, Judy makes sure it’s safe for both her and the dogs and they listen well, when she calls them back in.

Judy also snapped a couple shots of things you might use in the summer at the park, the bench to sit and watch the Big Lake. Judy said she sits there in all seasons, but the fall is the most pleasant. Her last shot is a small covered pavilion, with a few picnic tables underneath and a fixed barbecue grill for picnicking. Maybe as the temps keep getting warmer, Judy will have a picnic there with the “girls”.

There were some wild waves and wind on the Keweenaw shore on today’s video feature from JMart of the U.P..

Beautiful pic's, blue skies make anytime of year that much nicer!! Great video, I will never get tired of looking & listening to Lake Superior, it's simply the Best Body of water on the planet for my money!! It made for great sleeping when at Little Betsy regardless of the time of year, I always had my window open, her singing is perfect and unmatched!!
