I have been to Tahquamenon Falls, but never in the winter. I’m speculating that it’s much quieter, buffered by the surrounding snow and that the sound of the water shooting over the falls is magnified by the quiet then. Frances Czapski from the Whitefish Point Michigan Facebook page, captured today’s beautiful shots of the Tahquamenon Falls recently. So pretty with the snow surrounding and hanging on the branches of the trees.

Byron Goggin brings us a Pure Michigan Minute at the Tahquamenon Falls in the winter, from a few years back. Makes me want to get there during the snowy months now.

P.S. Remember that the 2020 Pasty Cam Calendars are ready for ordering, and as always U.P. Pasties, too. Both the calendars and the Pasties make nice gifts for Christmas, for those hard to buy for folks on your list. Click here to order: 2020 Pasty Cam Calendar and Pasties.

Quite the contrast...between winter and summer views of Tahquamenon

Oh wow, what a difference from the pictures you
see in the summer. I absolutely love these. They
are so beautiful!

Hi
I've been there a few times in the winter. The
most memorable was when the river below the falls
was frozen solid, and we skied up the river and
looked UP at the falls. Another time it was also
below zero, but we were older & wiser and viewed
the ice formations in the falls from above.
