WOW... check out the waves that Sharon Bodenus from Upper Peninsula Photography captured recently in Marquette. Lake Superior was really rocking and rolling that day, for sure, showing off the beauty and the power that this Big Lake possesses. There’s a reason she’s one of the “Great Lakes”.

Our video was filmed a few years back by Andrea Timm, when Lake Superior was storming at the Black Rocks, Presque Isle in Marquette, MI. The day it was made, the National weather service issued a storm warning with winds gusting 55-65 mph and waves 17 to 25 feet.

P.S. Don’t forget that the 2020 Pasty Cam Calendars are ready for ordering, along with U.P. Pasties. They make nice gifts for Christmas (both the calendars and the pasties). Click here to order: 2020 Pasty Cam Calendar and Pasties

Whoa! Looks like the "Gales of November" came a bit late! (Remembering the Fitz.)

However intense the weather, I see the tiger cub on the rock …
Tiger Cub #1
… doesn't seem to be fazed at all!

Tiger Cub #2
The tiger cub is lying on the rock facing left, tail to the right, rear legs toward the camera, head to left, facing the camera with pointy ears visible.

(Or is that two tiger cubs, one lying directly atop the other, both facing the camera, one head directly above the other.)

It looks more like a warthog to me..........

It looks like there's more rocking and rolling due late tonight & tomorrow, with average waves about 18 feet, peaking mid-morning. Some waves could be as great as 25 feet.

Holy cow!! Pretty sure I've seen this video
before but it doesn't get old. And those pictures
were wonderful also. It's finally snowing here in
Minnesota. It really didn't have to. Schools are
2 hours late (so far) and it's the first snow of
the season. Hope it's not another season like
last year.

Nice video and long enough to allow one to get absorbed in the raging intensity of the lake.
