Today’s colorful treats from Beth Jukuri are a result of her bike riding route and her mail route. The first two she captured while on her bike, stopping to take in the glorious colors, including the close-up of the maple leaves. Her last shot was taken on her mail route, during a rainy delivery day last week. For some reason the rain really makes the colors pop! No matter if she’s on two wheels or four wheels, Beth is always snapping pictures to make the season last a bit longer.

Our video excursion today was filmed just south of Marquette. Checking out the colors with the help of a bird’s eye view really gives you a look at the variegated carpet of colors below.

Beautiful, as usual!

The osprey is only an extension of the gar-the bear an extension of the salmon. No fish needs birds or mammals to survive; yet thousands of species of terrestrial and avian life would perish without fish.

Joking aside (besides, Condors are just plain uuugly!), perhaps an (click →) Albatross?
Albatrosses are highly efficient in the air, using dynamic soaring and slope soaring to cover great distances with little exertion. It is the only bird that can fly 10,000 miles without landing.

Or a (click →) Frigatebird, a seagoing flier with a 6-foot wingspan that can stay aloft for weeks at a time?

Or better yet a (click →) Common Swift, which can stay in the air for up to 10 months without stopping.

How about one of these.....

I would be a regal eagle. And I would just
soar.
