Donna MacIntosh was out and about on a road trip with a friend recently. They headed north from Baraga and ended up in Copper Harbor, where Donna snapped the top photo, a classic view of the Copper Harbor Lighthouse. From there the road trippers headed up Brockway Mountain, where Donna shot this great angle looking up to the top of the Mountain Drive with the stone ledges guiding the rest of the way.

Their next stop was out at Bete Grise, for a look across the channel at the Mendota Lighthouse. There were of course many more stops along their road trip route, but these were a few highlights of what Donna described as an incredible day!

We join Toby McGrath for a video tour of Copper Harbor. This one is by air, though. Three and a half minutes of the town that is classified as the spot farthest from an Interstate highway in America’s lower 48. If you don’t believe me, check out this link: Copper Harbor farthest from Interstate.

My favorite video link inside there was:

"Illinois People Explain Michigan Accents"

As I currently reside in Illinois, I apologize ahead of time for all of us.

Toby McGrath's "Copper Harbor Tour" video (by air):

Been there, done that in my trusty ol' Piper Cherokee 180 (P28-180C). I don't have a picture of my aircraft handy, but here's a representative sample of what it looked like:
N38859
But I never experienced such clear skies and visibility, and apparently I was a better pilot than photographer, 'cuz all my aerial photography in and around the UP was haze city!

In comparison, this 3 minutes + 26 second video was an utterly stunning, captivating, mesmerizing experience (the vertical views, straight down through the trees, not quite so much) the music was a perfect match as well, (No "singing", i.e. discordant raucus screaming and screeching. Yeay!).

I had to watch it four times!
Great videos, twice in one week!
