This is the week that Michigan Tech holds their annual winter carnival. The schedule of activities can be found here: Schedule of Events. We look back to 2008 with a photo taken by Ole Kristensen of a frightful looking ice statue with blue eyes that look to be staring at the camera... YIKES!

Then in 2016, Paul and Nathalie Brandes were on campus and took the second photo of the Phi Kappa Tau 1st place statue of New York landmarks. So much detail in these statues, it always blows me away.

Our video takes a look at the winning statues from last year’s event, published by Michigan Tech University. Fun to see them from all the different angles, including some from the air. Try to get out there this weekend to see this year’s statues!

Wish I were there to see the MTU sculptures. Looks like the weather's going to cooperate.

Saw where there was a few days where they weren't allowed to work on the statues because it was so cold!

Have to admit we 'Cats were always jealous of Tech's statues. Always great work!

Very nice...I really like the drone view.
