We start our archive lookback today, with a photo snapped by my hubby, Jim Drew, in 2004. We had just gotten a fresh snowfall at the farm, so the old hay rake in the field was going to be idle now for the winter months.

Aimee Rathbun was our next photographer, back in 2010, with a beautiful shot of a wintry moon, complete with a frosty glow around it. Makes me shiver just a little looking at that one.

Then in 2016, E. Neil Harri was out and about, capturing a picture of one of Keweenaw’s more famous landmarks, the Snow Thermometer that is used to measure the snowfall in the area each year. If you click on the following link, you can check the daily updates of snow here UP North: Snow Thermometer.

Snowy weather, means snowy driving. We’re driving on M28 with Jeff Daniels in his motorhome. He has a few tips on how to proceed when you meet up with a semi that stirs up the snow on the road into whiteout conditions.

I think this is the video where Jeff takes his hands
off the wheel for quite a span of time on the Seney
Stretch.... certainly a straight piece of highway!

Mr. Daniels is a cool "Pure Michigan" dude! Nice pix, but what the Hay?

67% chance of the next stretch of M-28 being straight? That's a pretty good bet to take.

jbuck, It's the next video in sequence (#7) where he takes his hands off the wheel. He actually gets out of the driver's chair and says he's going to the bathroom for a couple of minutes.

That's the one!

I thought he was using the facilities but wasn't sure
enough to mention it in the first post. LOL!
