We’re kind of all over the place on the Pasty Cam today, beginning in Lac La Belle, on top of Mt. Bohemia, with the original Pasty Girl, Becky Richards. She took a hike up to the top of the hill in 2001, back before it was a Midwest Ski attraction and snapped this interesting shot from the top, looking down at Lac La Belle below. In these earlier years, Becky took orders over the phone, along with preparing the labels and paperwork for the Pasty orders we shipped back then.

Then in 2007, Z-Man was in Ontonagon when he spotted the John G. Munson, at the dock unloading her cargo there. What a great photo opportunity with the setting sun and the glowing sky behind the freighter.

Our third archive shot just gives off such a peaceful feeling, with the tire swing sitting idle there in Judy Byykkonen’s Traprock Valley yard. But check out all the leaves on the ground…guess there was no time for swinging that day in 2015, with all those leaves to rake up and bag.

The last stop on the picture tour today, is with Don Afman who spotted these interesting characters on a recent visit at the Dockside Campground just outside of Gay. They look like they may be the friendly type, most folks that live here UP North are!

The last few days we’ve had some spectacular sunrise colors here in the Copper Country. We don’t have a video of that, but did find a Michigan Fall Morning one to share with you all. Hope your morning started out just as beautifully today!

That first pic is my favorite for today, stood in that exact spot numerous times!! Nice video, enjoyed the piano music!!

Enjoy the weekend Pasty, and roll those clocks back tonight!!

Pleasant pix and the gooses in the video reminds of when I was driving down Lasher Road in front of a very large church. A flock of gooses took off just like in the video and flew right into the side of my truck. It was like a drive-by in "Bowling Ball City"...busted my side view mirror as well as several large dents. And the gooses?...Well they didn't stand a chance...I was driving a Dodge Ram 1500, and yea, "It's got a Hemi!".

Ah, the weekend. When I hear the word 'culture', I reach for my checkbook.

I must admit a certain amount of both amusement and shock when I discovered these wood carvings just east of Gay. There is an almost totem pole resemblance to them. They must be almost 10 feet tall. I was checking out the facilities at Dockside Campground for possible use next summer after I retire. It looks like a very nice campground, if you're a sunrise person. Personally I prefer the sunsets.

My thoughts exactly. It looks like a great place to stay, good facilitates, but as you say, it's a good place to wake up at. I too prefer the sunset locations.
