It’s a bit of a farming day here on the Pasty Cam today, with two farm related photos from the archives to start us off. The first shot was snapped by Daryl Laitila (RIP) back in 2000. She had spent the whole day just taking in the color and sunshine. This picture was taken on the Tapiola road on their travels to the Hanka Homestead.

Z-Man took the next photo in 2005. Actually the structure alone would have made a nice country scene, but Z-Man captured the sun brightening the barn and the leaves to make it just that much more colorful and pleasing.

Our third photo isn’t farm related, but it sure is a dandy, snapped by Aladino Mandoli in 2012. He saw this rainbow on the drive from Marquette to the Keweenaw. The colorful arch appeared between Three Lakes and Champion, immediately turning that gloomy day into something special. So close to that Pot of Gold.

Speaking of gold... I think that the Autumn colors here UP North are part of our “Pot of Gold”. Autumn is filled with so many colorful things, not just the leaves and today’s video from Pure Michigan gives us a quick look at what I’m talking about.

Fantastic pic's and the video is the BEST as we all know!! But now begs the question???? Where in the heck am I gonna get fresh Cider and Hot Doughnuts at this hour????? :=))


Pure Michigan!! Sister Norma says we should move to Florida when we retire! .... NO WAY, I wanna go NORTH!! NO, gators, no salt, no sharks, only the freshest Best Lake in the whole World!! You ever try to drink the tap water in FLA.... Good God Man!!
This all being said... I think I have my pal Marty ready for a road trip, time to put a few U.P. pin stripes on my new Silverado Z71, 4X4,in the bush. Possibly next week if I can put a few calls together.
