Today we tap on 2003 and 2007 for this day’s recurring theme, folks at work in the U.P. In 2003 Daryl Laitila walked down the block from her home in Hancock to capture scenes of young people sprucing up the Hancock wall. Then in 2007 R.C. Wetton regaled us with his feats of super human strength, turning over a massive hull with apparent ease. We have had a lot of fun on the Pasty Cam over the years, and we have folks like Daryl and R.C. to thank for it. Fondly we remember both of these U.P. residents, who have since passed on.

The video is a clip of some of the Ford archives, and if you start it from the beginning, the cool scenes of the woods in winter may help you forget about the summer's heat for awhile.

Have a good week :o)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, just what we needed.

The Gay School House appears a couple times in the
review too ~ along with one of my favorite bridges.

Stay cool everyone!

Interesting stuff! If that boat fell on his steel-toed dockers, would it hurt?

Does anyone have an update on the Gay School building (interior) restoration since this, from one year ago?

By Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Saturday, July 15, 2017 - 07:48 am:
… Jump to present day and a visit to Gay, MI for the 4th of July festivities, we get a look at the Historic Gay School building exterior that the Keweenaw Historical Society has been busy working to restore both the inside and the outside of this treasure of history.

I'm glad to see the old Gay School being restored.
I hated to see it with the broken windows and so run-down. Kiitos, KHS!
