Yes, that’s right, we’re headed to the beach in the archives today, along with a current beach photo, too. We start out with a Shoebox Memory from Patti Vickers, that first appeared in 2002. Patti said these kids thought it would be fun to play in a remaining patch of snow that always lingers on the M26 hill between Lake Linden and Calumet. How fun to put on swimsuits and play in the snow, especially when the temps are warm enough that you won’t be frozen.

Taana Kalliainen takes us to our next beach, along Wolf Point on the shores of Lake Superior. Taana and a group of friends were 4-wheeling through muck and mud to get there, but what a grand view it is, making all the getting stuck and dirty along the way, well worth it.

We take to the air for our next beach/shoreline view back in 2008, with E. Neil Harri. This aerial photo was taken in the Southwest part of the Porcupine Mountains, the portion of the park in Gogebic County. It gives us a view at the mouth of the Presque Isle River and then looking further upstream, you can see the falls, blown up in the inset for better viewing.

Which takes us to our current beach photo, snapped by Krista Poirier a week ago at White City/Jacobsville. No swimming that day, as there was still some dirty looking ice hanging on by the beach there, but with the warm temperatures we’ve had during the week, I’m betting the ice has melted quite a bit.

Our video adventure comes to us today from Da Brudders. They’re taking us on a tour of Eagle River and Jacob’s Falls, with everything in between. Enjoy the view!

Wow...Great pix and another superb drone-video!
Lucky for you, Charlie that you weren't going in the bushes that day. :-O
