Today’s theme for the archive photos is one I don’t think we’ve focused on before, it’s all about faces in the snow. We start out with an interesting snow face formation that Joyce Tormala spotted in 2005. Nice to see a friendly face when you explore the forest trails.

Brenda Leigh found another smiling face near Paradise, back in 2015. She spotted Smokey the Bear standing in the snow, letting folks know that the fire danger was low that day. I noticed that Smokey has a shovel at the ready, he must have been waiting for more snow to come.

Our last photo is filled with faces, four real ones and one manmade. Stacey Sedar snapped this photo of her kids and nephews back in 2016. They had just finished working on the guy in the middle. Looks like they created a new Bootjack resident who seems to be enjoying all the attention from the kids and just being a part of the fun.

Continuing on the “faces in the snow” theme, I found an interesting video, where you put your face in the snow and it makes an impression that when filmed, looks 3D and almost like it comes to life when the camera moves and changes angles. Not sure I’ll try this one, as it looks a bit chilling, but still pretty neat to see how others have done it.

That was weird...would make a good horror movie; "Ghosts from the Drift".

It was to cold for him to crawl out of his den and take a look so it is the same as last year, what ever that was
