It’s a four-legged, fuzzy critter day today in the archives of the Pasty Cam. We start with an aerial shot of a mother moose and her calf, snapped in 2007, by E. Neil Harri. Quite the shot from above, taken somewhere in Baraga County.

Robert C. Wetton (RIP) shared a skirmish at his backyard feeding station in 2009. RCW liked to help the deer population by putting feed out for them. This small herd was busy the day he took the photo, looks like one of them is trying to chase another one away from the food.

One of the more unusual visitors to backyard feeding stations was captured by Elaine Robbins last year in 2017. She spotted this albino gray squirrel in her Lake Linden yard. That coloring is a perfect camouflage for this time of year in the Keweenaw.

Today’s video was made back in 2014, of two moose visiting a U.P. cabin. It’s one that was on the news back then, but worth a repeat to see these beautiful animals UP close like that.

40years ago I was welding at P&H (Harnischfeger Corp.) in Escanaba. The big gear cases for the 6250 uppers. That was a 250 ton cap. truck crane. 4 years later we were sold out from our jobs. As in Laid Off!

Not sure...the '70s are a blur, man.
The video was pretty cool. At first, it looked like the drive-thru window at Moose Burger, but I wondered: "How can they afford the food."
