Usually once a week throughout the past almost 20 years of Pasty Cam photos we’ve featured critters. Today is a look-back at some that appeared on this day in our archives and a new one for this year. We start with Judy Byykkonen and one of her four-legged friends, Mandy, back in 2009. Mandy is a Labradoodle, who loves the outdoors and especially plowing through the fluffy snow with her head down like she's looking for who knows what. That's what gives her the "beard" effect, when the snow accumulates on her furry snout.

The second photo first appeared in 2010 and was snapped by a Wildlife Camera in the woods somewhere in Bootjack. It was a secret back then and remains a secret today, as to where exactly and who sent it in. It has been a favorite of mine from the first day I spotted it.

Back in 2015, Donna MacIntosh shared a photo of a couple of the visitors at her feeding station in her Baraga back yard. Small and large woodpeckers side by side getting their lunch together. I know the big one is a Pileated, but I’m not certain if the smaller one is a Downy or a Hairy Woodpecker.

Two years later, we’re in Donna MacIntosh’s back yard again, with a current shot of what looks like five of her recent visitors. She sure gets a menagerie of critters that come to her place for lunch. Entertainment every time she looks out her patio doors.

Since it seems like the deer are dominating the Pasty Cam today, I figured for our video, we might as well watch a good size deer herd getting their lunch on, near Military Hill in Ontonagon County.

Yes, this date does seem to feature critters of all
sorts. Great way to start the morning! The rest of
the day... get the records in order to do the taxes!

I agree...ice set of pix and video. I was thinking about the video that was featured a few weeks ago and I thought; Wolfen Buffet.
And may all your refunds be humongous...let the games begin!

That video is incredible.....I'd be so thrilled to
be able to walk amongst the critters!!

I like the picture of the pileated woodpecker. One of my favorite birds.
That is by far the most deer I have seen in the same place at the same time. Pretty neat.
