Can you believe December is half over already? That means 2017 is quickly coming to a close, also. It's been fun looking back into the archives at photos that have previously been on our Pasty Cam pages and adding a current shot every few days, too. Today's archive theme is "glowing". That's what the U.P. does for sure, it glows in all seasons. Back in 2013, Mike Schneider captured the Marquette Lighthouse glowing a bright golden hue. The Lighthouse grounds are all lit and you can just see the green tinge above the building…the Northern Lights brightening the sky.

Our next glow comes from the tip of the Keweenaw in Copper Harbor. Brita Haapala was on hand there in 2015, when they held their annual Tree Lighting event during their Winter Wonderfest. Colorful glow right there in the community park.

We head back to Marquette in 2016 for the next "U.P. glow", with Lindsay Butala White. She had to be there in town for an early morning meeting, but had some time beforehand, so she headed to the waterfront at the Lower Harbor Ore Dock to watch the sun rise. What a beautiful way to start the day, especially when you'll be sitting in meetings for the rest of it.

The last "glow" here today was snapped by Barbara Bouwkamp last week. She woke up early to find out that the blizzard conditions we were having here in the Keweenaw were still in full force, but the glow of the street lights in her neighborhood caught her eye, so she captured the effect for the rest of us to enjoy. Even in a blizzard, the Keweenaw is aglow!

Our video feature today is glowing, too. We have a clip from Fun in the U.P. featuring the sunset over Kestner Park in Houghton and the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. At the beginning of the video, it says: "The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, a place inhabited by Yoopers, a place of diversity, a place of extreme beauty, a place like no other." Amen

Very artsy pix and video today!
So far this month, we have had quite a bit of snow here in SE-MI and people are already starting to complain about it...and we've still got a long way to go.
