It's neat what you can do with all these small video cameras nowadays, like the GoPro that you can strap on a Silverbear snow scoop handle. This is a very satisfying video to watch, if you're in to clearing snow. And thanks to Joanne Belhart for a revisit to the 2013 picture in this 20th year victory lap around the U.P. for Michigan's longest running daily picture website.

A special thanks to the folks at Silverbear, one of the original sponsors of the daily Pasty Cam. Order your Silverbear today. And their roof rake makes a wonderful stocking stuffer :o)

I almost missed making today's midnight deadline, as I've been on the top of Brockway Mountain much of the weekend, with our annual Fall switchover of the Pasty.NET relay that brings the broadband over which these words are being typed.

Have a good week :o)

Cool video...I used to clear my driveway in about 43 seconds when I was healthy, now I have a company do it. That's one of the many MS perks. :-)

Our Silverbear is sitting at the ready! And the roof rake isn't far away. We'll see how much of a work out they get this Winter!

We have a Yooper snow scoop out here in MN. I
bought it UP there while visiting one autumn. It
comes in handy, even though our high record snow
fall is lower than your LOW record snow fall. I
can tell I've been out of the loop for a while
because I haven't heard of the Silver Bear Snow
Scoop. I wish they would have slowed the video
down a bit.

Yes, that video was next to useless; the product videos on the Silver Bear website are far better, much more instructive!

While at my folks retirement home in Chassell I found the Silver Bear "Yooper Scooper" to be a breeze, but Yooper Scooper or not, I also learned one of the challenges of snow removal on a small lot: Where to put the snow?

After a few iterations over just a few days I quickly ran out of space in front of the house, and had to push the excess across Chassell-Painsdale Road — technically a no-no. Fortunately there was plenty of space on the south side of C-P Road, and I had to clear a path for the mail carrier at the mailbox there anyway. The only other issue was to be sure not to leave a "snow speed-bump" across the road!

Of course 30 minutes after finishing the job the plow would come by, leaving a major "snow speed-bump" across the driveway!😉
