One of the more popular themes on the Pasty Cam in the past 19 years had been the critters. Big ones, small ones, furry ones and feathery ones have all appeared. Today we look back to 2006, when Vanessa Gronewald snapped a colorful fall photo of some cattle grazing in a field bordered by colorful leaves.

The following year, in 2007, E. Neil Harri flew over a herd of moose and captured two of them sparring, with two others staying back on the sidelines. Nice spotting from up above!

The third shot was snapped in 2009 by George Hoyem, out in Bootjack. That's an immature Bald Eagle as it landed on his dock out there. It actually hung out there for a while, standing atop one of the boat cleats for his perch.

To round out the critters today, Nancy Nelson sent in a shot of a Bald Eagle that came for lunch on Pike Bay recently. Nancy said she was at a friend's cottage on Half Moon Bay, when this regal bird stopped by to dine on the shoreline. Not sure what exactly he's eating, but it looks like he's enjoying it!

As long as were on a critter binge, let's make a stop at Pete's Petting Zoo in Baraga, with TV6 News. This was a clip they filmed in 2015, so the babies featured are grown up by now. It's well worth the stop there. My Grandson's enjoyed it this summer, feeding the animals and watching their antics. Enjoy the critters!

Nice pictures of those moose. It's always
exciting to see them and, when we're on our way to
anyplace, we're always on the lookout for eagles.
Nice shots!

Nice animal pix and the video makes me reminisce. The llama looks a lot like a girl I used to date...gorgeous eyes and hairy ears.

I like the picture of the eagle having a shore lunch. That is a great photo.
In the picture of the moose the two with the smaller antlers chose the role of spectator. A wise decision on their part.

--------OLD AGE-----

What goes missing is not your body...but that ongoing narrative that constitutes your "self".
Your story no longer holds, your backdrop becomes the story...and you will fast disappear in to it.
