It's hard to imagine how many photos have passed through the Pasty Cam in the past 19 years and I'm guessing it would take some time to count them all. One thing I know for sure, each and every picture tells its own story of the beauty here in the Upper Peninsula. Photos like the Bootjack sunset, shared back in 2003 by Matt and Jen Schnippert. It's such a simple scene, with the sun going down behind the clouds on the horizon, yet it evokes an array of emotions, different for each person viewing the scene.

Another thought provoking shot appeared in 2005, when Dave Di Pietro made the hike up to the top of Bare Bluff. I haven't been up there in person, but I'm guessing you must feel like you're on top of the world, along with a feeling of accomplishment for the trip to get there.

Then in 2007, Peg Hardt took us to the Lake of the Clouds which is another spot that makes you feel like you're king of the mountain. Those three standing on that outcropping of rock, look like they could reach up and touch the sky.

Ten years later, here and now, we find Joy Ziemnick and her sister on the shores of Lake Superior, near McLain Park, picking rocks. They were actually at the mouth of Muggins Creek, hoping for some agate and pretty rock finds. This shot reminds me of days when I went rock picking with my best friend Gail and her Dad. He instilled the love of the hunt for that elusive agate, in me and it's been there since.

Our video today starts where Dave's photo above, leaves off and gives us an "almost live" view from Bare Bluff. I think Mandy Rathbun might have been standing in just about the same spot when she made this recording. Enjoy the view toward the tip of the Keweenaw!

Nice pix and fantastic video of my first hike in the Keweenaw. It was a day exactly like in the sky and the blue-blue lake. Unforgettable...thanks for memories!

Great pictures today!! Going to be UP there next
week. I do hope we find some time to take in the
beautiful sights that await us. We'll see!

I confirm the exhilaration after completing the trek to Bare Bluff. I finally made it last Summer. I almost quit and turned around but did not. I was so glad I made it.

Whenever I see or take pictures of agate hunters like this one I simply cannot prevent myself from chuckling and thinking they are "Mooning Minnesota".

I love looking for interesting and pretty stones. They don't have to be agates to get picked up by me. ;>)

Glad you'll have a chance to be UP again soon, Deb. I thought of
you while my cousin and I took one of our yearly backroad tours.
This time we made it to Redridge, Freeda, a Covered Road and the
Mosquito Inn. We saw the list of veterans, and I noted that your
father and another relative were on it. I remembered the photos
you have posted of Frieda in the past, and was glad to finally see
the town. What a blessing PastyCam has been for so many of us.

Oh Christine! I'm so happy you finally got to
Freda. Wish I could have been there to enjoy it
with you. I love that little town. The Mosquito
used to be owned by a cousin of my dad's, I
believe. Been there once or twice, lol. The
covered road is always a treat, but especially in
the fall. Glad you had a good time and yes,
thanks to pasty cam I have met so mamy wonderful
